Good news
This week’s edition of Charlie Brooker’s Screen Wipe is an extended 50-minute long US edition.
Bad news
As a result, it starts at 10pm and clashes with Time Trumpet on BBC Two. I know in these days of PDRs and the like we’re not supposed to care about such things. “Bah,” I say.
Glad the Countdown audition went well. What did you think of Malmaison? Did you see the Port o Leith Bar?
Malmaison seemed pleasant from the little I saw of it, although there’s something about the term “Brasserie” that makes me shiver. I associate it with 1980s power suits, brick-like mobile phones and Michael Douglas.
Sadly, I didn’t see the Port o’ Leith – my number 22 bus turned left from Leith Walk into Great Junction Street so I didn’t go down Constitution Street. Had to dash back to work and it was pouring with rain, so was straight on a 22 back the other way afterwards.
