Via James comes celebrity face recognition from MyHeritage.com. Although designed for genealogical purposes, there’s a huge amount of fun to be had putting non-celebs in the celebrity search and seeing whose faces come up. It’s not infallible (one photo of me seemed to be matched with Stan Lee just because we were both wearing sunglasses), but when I tested it with a random photo of Tony Blair, it knew who it was.
There is a certain amount of amusement to be had, too, if you forget to set the result to just one gender. Although I insist I don’t look like Alanis Morissette.
I think she is probably of the same opinion, Will!
Oh dear.. uising the photo on my blog I was matched with Pym Fortuyn, Herbert Hoover and Ho Chi Minh. When I remembered to tell it that I was female I got Audrey Tautou – that’s a relief, then.
Isn’t that ironic?
Sorry.
