Husband who chopped up wife gets 5 years – apparently that was “two years for manslaughter and three years for preventing the burial”.
Is manslaughter really a lesser crime than leaving a corpse in a freezer?

OR: Is killing someone, chopping them up, hiding the body and fleeing to Japan a less serious crime than hitting a youth with the side of a knife?
Someone got 6 years for the latter offence the day after the Dalton sentence which you mention.
i discuss it here: http://www.oneampfuse.blogspot.com
Another comparison: drug mules, (often female and black), usually receive 5-8 years for a first offence, and make up a third of all women in UK jails.
Obviously, I’d rather be chopped up and shoved in a freezer than offered a potentially harmful consumer product. But perhaps not everyone agrees.
